Too much of it will cause zits yes! A little chocolate here and there is okay!

In fact, chocolate will increase the chemical dopamine in your brain- helping you feel a sense of euphoria! (especially true in dark chocolate) (again in small quantities)

It's only true for the chocolate that has lots of extra sugar added like Hershey's stuff. Those delicious all natural dark chocolate bars you get at like Whole Foods or organic stores shouldn't give you pimples.
I think your folks just want to make sure you don;t go overboard with the chocolate and eat unhealthy.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

no. Chocolate itself does not cause zits. Chocolate..especially in its darker forms are full of antioxidants, which are great!

That's an old wives tale. Clogged pores, stress, anxiety, and not taking proper care of your face causes zits.

No. Research shows that it mostly has to do with our hormones, next in line would be our diet, like greasy foods, but actually nothing has truely been linked to chocolate. Chocolate is actually good for you, dark chocolate that is.

no, it's not true. But if you're allergic to it, then you should stop eating it, because it may cause a reaction on your face.
