it's normal just like we get angel dust in our eyes. Just wipe it out with a wet papertowell or rag. You might want to go get her allergy test if it is runny she could also have a cold if it's constant too

Cats occassioanlly get boogers in their eyes for the same reason we get boogers in our eyes: smoke, dust particles and other environemntal irritants. Its normal. But if kitty is snieezing too, it may be becuase of upper respiratory infection.

It probably has an eye infection or irritation, or even an allergy. When in doubt, always go to the vet. Your can get eye drops form the pet stores, and some carry antibiotic eyecream, but wouldn't recommend doing anything wothout a vet's advice. Common sense.

They get them for the same reason people do- it's whats left after your tears dry out and leave behind dirt, oil, bacteria, etc. Just wipe it off with a clean damp cloth.
A little eye crust is normal in cats, dogs and people, especially in certain smooshed-nosed breeds like the persian or pug. If there is a lot of it, and it's discolored/smells bad, it could be an eye infection or a disease that makes their eyes water a lot, like feline herpes, but otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

1) could be an infection... maybe something in their tear ducts.... the cat will need to be given antibiotics so that the infection does not get worse and pose a more serious problem for the cat.
2) If it isn't an infection than it is probably just dirt and debris from the cats eye....
Good luck!

Grab the thing and q-tip it off. Cats are resiliant so it won't happen a lot. Dirty face fur and such.

You can use a warm paper towel and gently rub it on their inner eye. They get them just like we get them---from sleeping.
