absolutely. thats a parents job only..unless it is invited by the parents. .. We would have very disagreeable words about the subject if someone did this with my kids.....

Sharing the truth of God is opposite of harmful...so that would be kinda silly to "level" them.
If someone were trying to teach my kids false doctrine, I would tell them to hit the road--AND I am sure I would give them a gospel tract and then I would do my best at remembering to pray for them.

You can't protect your child all the time. Better teach your children to think for themselves so that they will be immune to lies, deception, etc. Of course there is some truth in the religions, but they will be able to find and use that too by independant investigation.

I'm not a believer in violence.
In the case of my oldest child, who at twelve is old enough to understand, I would encourage the conversation and let my kid draw her own conclusions and make her own decisions .
If someone were trying to suborn my younger children, who have not yet reached the age of reason,I would politely let them know that what they are saying runs contrary to our belief system and I would like to wait until my boys are older before forcing the issue.

My stepson, Bob (not his real name and already an adult) many years ago, tried to convince my son (who was around 9 at the time) to be an atheist. I overheard the conversation and was "Livid". I took a deep breath and went in to them and this is basically what I said,
Bob, you have your own ideas and that's up to you...I won't change that...but in the same respect...I ask that you not try to push your own ideas on to Tom. (not real name) He is your father's and my son and we think differently...and it is our responsibility to guide Tom in a different direction..When he's older and can decide for himself what he believes, then that decision will be his own....not yours and not mine...but his own....Bob then agreed...I did want, however, to deck him...
PS we had a good relationship with Bob otherwise...maybe that's why he respected my intervention.

i would not level someone for that, that would be the opposite of what Christ has taught. i would raise my child up in the ways of the Lord and I would pray and plea the blood over them daily. I would trust that they would make the right decision.

Invent a god that you can claim told you to level someone if they tried to teach your children religion. Watch them trying to worm their way out of it.

You could take the 'eye for an eye' ideology, as many Christians would level you if you tried to tempt their children's faith, however if it is your goal to be a good human being, I would advise against it.

I'd wouldnt beat them up if that's what you mean. I would let my child chosse what religion s/he liked best. But if s/he was really young and impressionable, i would beat 'em up for brainswahsing, 7 year olds jsut dont know whats good for em.

A little judgemental, perhaps. Religions exists, whether you like it or not, and children should be aware of them.
