he's the first guy i've ever been out with - i'm 17 now and its been like 3 months!! he says he really cares about me - what does that actually mean though?!

it means that you've landed one of the few great guys who won't say "i love you" until he's actually sure he means it, and isn't afraid of getting rejected..
when he says he really cares about you, that's a good thing, and when he does finally say the L word, he'll mean it.

Three months is too short of a time to truly love a person. When he says that he really cares about you, in my opinion, it means just what he says. He really cares about you. Love is another aspect. Love is something that is found later on. When you are in love, you know it. If your unsure, then you are not. hope this helps :D :D
