I'm in love with my best friend and I told her. She either doesnt love me back or doesn't believe me. I really want to be her friend but it's hard for me to ignore my feelings for her when i'm with her. I rarely ever see her and we only communicate with e-mail. And when I do see her, I always hug her and hold her tight. I kiss her on the cheek and neck and one time we kissed on the lips really softly but it just happened for 2 seconds. I've told her many times, in detail that I love her in e-mails. I even tell her after I kiss her and she says "do you mean that?" I tell her yes!!!! I love this girl with all of my heart but I dont want to hurt myself when I'm with her. I can't pretend I dont love her. What should I do? I want to be her friend but its hard because I have intense feelings for her.

it seems you have very very strong emotions towards her ..so i'd tell you to talk frankly with her face to face or in e mail..tell her that you like her and you want to date her ..don't be hopeful (coz she didn't make any encouraging sign)but it's the last hope and anyway trying is better than this torture ..
otherwise if she says no you have to go away for a while and stop contacting her ..coz with all this love in your heart ..you can't forget her if you still contact her ..

If she is your bestfriend why are you only contacting her through e-mails, you should try calling her, she probably feels the same way!! If she is your bestfriend she more than likely will hear you out and definitely take your feelings into consideration, Hey you only live once, and you never know unless you try!! You seem like you are a real genuine guy I think that it should work out between the two of you!!
