I am thinking of biking it from Anaheim Hills to Costa Mesa. Someone told me that going through Santa Ana is risky, as there are many taggers and homeless people that hang out there. Anyone have experience with that ride?

Haven't ridden it myself but here are a few links. There are a few comments on the first link.

I have never experienced any real trouble from riding past any type of people. Even had a few interesting conversation with some.
