any time you use a chemical on your hair its damaging it. If your hair is already damaged then your gonna damage it more. Are you talking about a chemical straighter or with a iron? Its all damaging to your hair.
Get you a good conditioner like REDKIN climatress and ppt and mix them half and half and use as a wash out conditioner.
get something like glass (also put out by redkin) to put on your hair while drying and stying. It will help tame it.

The more you straighten and dye your hair the more you will fry it and you will never get rid of the frizz. A product I swear by is called silky sexy hair. It is bought at any salon. It costs about $10 - $15 per bottle. It is an oil base so don't use too much and put it in evenly. A stylist could show you how to use it. It can be used on wet or dry hair. It is awesome. Really makes your hair feel like silk and it will get rid of all the frizz. I know how horrible frizz is. If you have some wave in your hair and want it curly get the other product called super sexy curls. Made by the same company. I have tried several different salon & drug store products. It is by far the best. Worth the money. Pick some up. If you do keep straightening it, it will also protect it from the heat. So does leave in conditioner. You should also invest in some of that as well.

i've been dying my hair for the last 8 years and straighten it all the time. it does start looking quite dry if i do it too often, but a leave in treatment usually rectifies that. i use schwartzcof or however you spell it. and if you give your hair a break for a week from the straightening the next time you do it it's good again, just tie your hair up and you won't notice the frizz!

That's fine- you can straighten it if you dye it ^_^ I would just make sure when you wash it, you use a nourishing conditioner, and then add heat protection spray as well. Once you've blow dried downwards with a round brush, and straightened, finish with some serum . I like Aveda products, and good old Head and Shoulders for shampoo. Treseme also do some very good products.

Just bear in mind that it will damage your hair if you don't use heat protection and colour nourishing conditioner as your hair is weaker after colouring, especially lightening.

Good luck angel !! xxx x

no that is not safe if you do it different days than yes but you don't want to dry your hair than do highlights or even straighten it unless it is really dry. other you will burn your hair. If you die your hair you can still strighen it. make sure you hair is realy dry. and you should use the shampoo creame of nature. I use that and it works great. when your hair is dry you should use cream of nature and then put in moisterizer and it will become really healthy and it wont take long either. Good luck you can e-mail me at bubbles_shortie15@yahoo.com if you have any other questions.

yes it will dye drys out ur hair and makes it brittle u need to go to a salon and get it treated..if u can't afford it then get some tresume shampoo and conditioner..use that for a while..get ur ends trimmed and try to get a blow dryer that straightens ur hair rather then fry ur hair with a flat iron..if that doesn't work then maybe u should try getting a relaxer..but do not dye ur hair because that is adding more fuel to the fire.

Sweetie, with grammer like that I am worried that you can't even wash your own hair, let alone know how to dye it yourself. Stay away from anything that combines chemicals and you being able to read the instructions. Once I did what you are explaining when I was in college and I turned out looking like Big Bird - so if an college educated woman does that could you just imagine what a girl with a 2nd grade level of grammer can do? Stay away from those chemicals and make sure to take lots of English courses and chemistry in school before going any further with your life, love.

u cant lighten ur hair and iron it everyday if it is damaged already!! use leave in conditioners 2x a week, use a conditioning shampoo that is gentle, and get ur ends trimmed so its not too poofy.
