It was a stupid and costly mistake, which caused death and misery for Americans and Iraqis alike. It has turned Iraq from a stable and secular (if autocratic) reigime into a failed state filled with terrorists. It has been a massive recruiting agent for Al-Qu'eda. It has killed hundreds of Britons, thousands of Americans, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, for nothing. There wasn't even a drop in oil prices. What a waste.

it is an exceedingly complicated concern. you won't be able to deny the certainty that many insurgents use Pakistan because of the fact the get entry to element, added extra it is severely held that the management of al qaeda are based in Pakistan or a minimum of interior the mountainus border aspects. That stated there are a number of international locations that harbour terrorists and we do no longer something approximately them. If we'd pick to stop the suffering in Afghan, we could use the money we are at the instant spending on conflict, to augment the opium production and then purchase all of it to be utilized in medical technological awareness. Opiats are needed in an endless array of medical purposes and particularly of the the Taliban reaping extensive financial earnings from the crop and thereby investment their squaddies, the actually Afghan people could earnings, they could have a supported marketplace and that they could be getting a plenty greater proportion of the sale fee of the Opium. Even extra perfect, it could have a huge influence on the quantity of Heroin that hits the streets all international huge. we've a sturdy deal of help type the Afghan people authentic now, yet as quickly as we've been to salary a conflict on the Opium fields and not furnish some type of option use for the only crop they actually strengthen, then the great united states of america could be against us and in simple terms like the Russians and all and sundry else in historic previous we'd be crushed in some short months.

we went into Iraq without considering the consequences; we should not make the same mistakes in getting out. if we leave right now, just drop everything and run, we abandon an oil-rich region that will be controlled by our enemies. the government will crumble under the attacks of Al Qaida, unless the Iraqi government joins with Iran (they're friends; at the ceremony-thing celebrating free Iraqi elections, an Iranian representative said "The people we supported have been put in power." he did not add "thank you, President Bush." then, of course, Iran would "graciously" lend their support, and Iraq and Iran would form an alliance aginst the US. so we can't leave; we'll make things worse if we do.

I am sad that we are in a policing action in other nations, but, it is inevitable that nations will do like this. I think that our now declared mission to train the new military and police forces of Iraq is noble, but, that once they have sufficient numbers to take over the situation, we need to withdraw. In fact, I believe as new precincts come online in Iraq, we should send troops home, until we have none there.

In Afghanistan we are a part of an alliance's operation to search for and dislodge terrorists, and those who rendered succor to them. I support that. However, once they say we should leave, we should do so.

Whether you believe we should or shouldn't have gone there in the first place, it doesn't matter. We're there now.

Anyone who thinks that al Qaeda isn't in Iraq is insane. Capturing their leader today only provides further proof of that. And for those of you who only believe CNN, here's the link where they admit al Qaeda is in Iraq.

But yet libs want to leave because "terrorists aren't there." They ARE THERE!!!! And if we don't fight them there, we'll be fighting them here.

I will NEVER participate in a war protest. That encourages the enemy and is NOT supporting the troops.

I wish I knew what the real motives for it were. I'm sure it had something to with control of the oil supply, something to do with finding a worthy opponent for the U.S. to replace the Soviet Union and justify our monstrously huge defense budget, something to do with a grudge between G.W. and his daddy, something to do with a grudge between Saddam and the Bush's, quite a bit to do with private contractors especially Halliburton, maybe something for the end times evangelicals. About the only thing I'm sure of, it has nothing at all to do with any of the official reasons given.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. We need to make sure that these people can protect themselves now. No matter what the media says, and they only show the bad ****, I believe that Iraq is flourishing in some parts, you never get to see that.

I think it is so fired up with perpetual hatred that it will last forever, even if we leave Iraq.

The war is on.

It's important for America to let other nations know that we don't support terrorism and we won't just accept it and move on. We need to show other countries that we still have morals, principles, and freedoms we are willing to fight for.

God bless our troops!
