Hello,
the main difference between a pancake and a crepe is that a pancake is thicker and its ingredients differn from the crepe's. Crêpes are thinner and less sweet, and are only made of milk, flour, a bit of oil, and one or two eggs...Also, in French, "crêpe suzette" refer to a crêpe with a special kind of sauce you eat your crêpe with- a kind of creamy, buttered, sweet crepe! Here is the recipe in French for a crêpe suzette:
Pour 4 personne(s) (For 4 people)
Pour les crêpes (For the crêpes)
- 125 gr de farine, (125 gr of FLOUR)
- 50 gr de sucre, (50 gr of SUGAR)
- 4 oeufs, (4 eggs)
- 50 cl de lait,(50 cl of MILK)
- 25 g de beurre. (25 g of BUTTER)
Pour le beurre (For the butter- sauce 'Suzette)
- 200 g de beurre (200 g of BUTTER)
- 80 g de sucre (80g of SUGAR)
- un zeste de citron (a zest of LEMON)
- un jus de citron (LEMON JUICE)
- 1 cuillerée à soupe de Cognac (one spoonful of COGNAC)
- 1 cuillerée à soupe de Grand-Marnier (one big spoonful of Grand Marnier)
And that's it! Bon appétit!
PS: The secret for really good crêpes and thin ones is to let the past repose for at least one night in the fridge. Or at least one hour if you don't have time. The paste will be easier to deal with, and you can easily make the crêpes "jump" in the pan! ;)

crepes are made super super thin. The kind of pancakes usually served with syrup for breakfast are a bit too heavy for that kind of treatment. It would probably taste good, just not exactly like a crepe suzette.

crepes are basically the same recipe, but they are spread much thinner when cooking. Pancakes are a little thicker, scotch pancakes are much smaller. However if you add the fruit, syrup and a touch of brandy I think these will be gorgeous!! mmmmm!!!

a crepe is flat and you can stuff and roll it with fresh fruits and eat it for dessert.
A pancake is a breakfast dish that you put syrup on it when it comes out of the pan when it is hot.
You cannot eat COLD pancake but with Crepes you eat it cold mostly

I say go for it, but a crepe is thinner & more delicate. Have you already prepared the batter? Thin it out. And you gotta have lots of patience to make a crepe.

both answers are somewhat ok, but the real diffrerence is the leavening, or the lift. crepe batter is traditonally flour, salt, and milk. pancake batter has the addition of bakinf soda, and baking powder to give lift, which makes them larger, and fluffy. also, crepes are found mostly throughout europe, especially in russia. they are called blinchky, and usually filled with chopped meat, or fruit.

Nothing really apart from pancaqke is the English word for tham and the french tend to put different fillings or toppings on and fold them up and the English, as we are quite boring just tend to have them once a year on pancake day with just lemon and sugar on them. Pancake day is something to do with Lent, Using up ingredients or something like that.
