Sure if you like standing in line, being ignored by sales people, trying on dirty dresses, and being miserable. It's been 11 years and I am still bitter!! Can you tell?

Defenitely, I got my wedding dress there last year in April during the sale gown. Actually, I went a week after the sale, and they still had a few left. When I went, I was looking for something simple, so I started looking at their entire collection, picked some expensive dresses, but didn't like any. Then the sales rep. show me some of the 99 gowns in my size, and those were beautiful. I didn't get a simple dress, it was elegant, but I did get a cheaper and gorgeous, so I do recomend it. After all, you don't have anything to lose. Make an appointment, try a few of the new collection and then ask for the 99 to see what they have. Keep in mind that it varies by stores, some have nothing left and others have a lot! good luck =)

I got my wedding dress at Davids during their $99 sale! Not for 99 dollars but usually all of their other dresses are marked down also. Mine was $499 and I got it for $399 so most of the time you can find a good deal. I am not sure of the other Davids Bridal stores but the one I went to was great and the people were super nice and helpful! Goodluck!

I'll tell you this... I'm planning my wedding also... and eeeeeverybody was yelling in my ear, davids bridal this, davids bridals that.. I said fuc*k it, let me go to davids bridal.
I HATED IT. The dresses were nothing to write home about and the sales people were a joke. The $99 is just a ploy to get you in the store, where when I finally got a sales person to talk to, she tried to get me to sign up for financing to see how much I qualified for. I politly told her I'm buying a dress not a car..... so to make a long story short..don't go

If you're just going for the $99 sale, I'd vote no. They had very limited gowns at this price, most looking like prom dresses. Going to David's Bridal at all can be kinda blah, as my expierence went on with them I was more & more unhappy with the company.

The reason they mark it down is because the dresses aren't made anymore so you take the one that right there in the store instead of ordering it from the manufacturers.
I found mine at the sale. It was only $100. Some dresses were marked down $50-$200. So just check it out maybe you'll find the one or maybe not. Worth a shot :) good luck.

Oh yes, it is well worth it. My daughter in law's neice came to the U.S. on a trip to visit but to also buy her wedding gown because in Ecuador, they are so very expensive. So she went to David's Bridal and there on the sale rack was a gown for $250 worth more than $2,000 It was by Eve of Milady. A very famous wedding gown manufacturer. She bought everything while she was here, headpiece, veil, shoes...I saw the gown and the quality was exquisite. So it is really worth the trip...Go and take a look, as you never know what you will find. Also look on line too on wedding gown websites, I saw a few and they are much less expensive than in a bridal store. Best of Luck to you.

There's lots of things there. Go and look. You may find a treasure there. A $99 special that you love. Then, the money saved can be used on another part of the wedding.
Why spend 3 or 4 hundred or more on a dress that you'll only wear once?

I once looked over their $99 rack and it was made up of the worst bridesmaids dresses ever seen. The "sale" was just a way to bring in customers, because the $99 items were things they should have given to charity.

Definitely go! My sister and I went and she had a $50 off coupon from a bridal show that we went to... She ended up with a beautiful strapless gown that laces up the back. She looks stunning in it, and only paid $49!!! Crazy!
I personally didn't find anything my style, but there were plenty of options.

Yes, I totally did. I found my dress not on the $99 rack but on the $150 rack. When I went up to pay for it it ended up being 107. total It was very beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. The only thing you need to watch out for is the alterations. My dress cost me $107 but the alterations cost me $600.00!!!! Get one that fits really well and needs little alterations or go somewhere besides David's to get them done.
