^Uh, not funny.^

I would reccommend eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, but don't skip out on protein! Steer clear of anything with trans fats, and exercise 90 minutes or more daily. Make sure you are eating enough for your body.

Hope I helped.

A healthy diet along with exercise. What people usually do wrong now a days, is just not eat. Which is wrong. Don't let 5 hours pass between a meal, usually that's how long it takes for your body to start getting hungry- even if it doesn't notify you. So like, say you have breakfast at 7 a.m. then have lunch no later than 12. But if you know dinner's at 8 or something, eat a light snack- like almonds. Almonds are a good munchie since there's so much protein in them, it tricks your body into think it has eaten alot, when really, you ate about a handful.

Eating right goes hand and hand with exercise. Running on the treadmill is a great way to loose weight off your stomach. Studies show that after a run, your body burns an extra 200 calories, so go for two 30 minute runs instead of one long one hour run.

These are just a few tips. Hope I helped some.

Eat healthy and work out!

Get at LEAST 20 minutes of cardio workout (treadmill, jogging, even dancing!) a day. Within the first 20 minutes (or so) of working out, the body uses stored carbohydrates. After that it burns fat.

Burn 500 calories a day to lose a pound in a week. Depending on your gender, height, age, and current weight - don't eat below your reccomended calorie intake. Absolutely do NOT eat under 1,500.

Eat breakfast! Breakfast jump starts your metabolism. If you can work out in the morning, do it! Even if its just for 5 minutes. Starting the day of like that boosts your metabolism.

Don't restrict sweets completely - a end of the week sundae is just fine. Just don't eat sweets every night. If you do, a few squares of chocolate or 2 regular cookies are fine.

No (or little) soda! If you have to have soda, go for Diet! Drinking water is better though. It washes your system out and boosts your metabolism. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Try not to eat fast foods more than twice a week. Most having insanely large amounts of fat and carlories. For example, one BigMac from McDonalds has almost 800 calories!
Limit yourself. If you eat out at a resturant, get a small salad first. After that if you order something large, eat half (or less) of it and take it home.

Try to stay active. Clean the house, do laundry, play with your family pet - all those activities will burn calories!

12 pounds in 6 months is only half a pound a week. in order to lose 1 pound, you need to burn 3500 more calories than you take in. 1 pound a week would be a difference of 500 calories a day, so half a pound a week would be a difference of 250 calories a day. so really all you have to do is burn 250 calories a day more than you eat. this really isn't that much, like an hour of walking or skip dessert, or switch to diet soda or nonfat milk.

12 lbs in 6 months is a totally attainable goal. Just watch how much fat you're eating, eat 5+ servings of fruits and vegetables each day, drink 8 glasses of water each day, and move more. These principles should help you take off the extra pounds.
