My new cat which is 2 yrs old just won't stop biting and scratching things. I know she just wants to play but it's getting to hard to handle and I don't know what to do. You can't even pet her normally without her trying to claw at your hand or bite you. Any suggestions?

how previous is the cat? whether it particularly is a kitten that is in user-friendly terms enjoying, mine did it as a kitten and outgrew it (as long as you do no longer play with him and roughhouse with him each and all of the time, then that is going to become a habit and you will have a cat who bites and scratches human beings). if that is an older cat it particularly is going to be harder to end the habit yet you are able to attempt saying "no!" and push him away so he knows that may not ideal habit. no specific that is going to artwork whether that is nicely worth a shot. that is going to take awhile for him to get the factor and don't shop petting hi while he's doing it, in basic terms push him away and forget approximately him so he knows he has carried out something to make you end giving him affection. or in case you will him and petting him then he's in all probability annoyed and does not decide to be puppy, some cats do no longer like it.

If its not fleas n the like then its a skin problem. If its dry skin then bath them in luke warm water with some a lil soap and hand cream mixed in. If that doesnt work then take it to a vet because its a skin desease / infection and it will need meds / antibiotics.

My cat was like that too. Get her nails cut and get a scratching post or else she will use your couch.
