Because many people are afraid to think about death and will not even talk about it so they never gave it a thought that someday they are also gonna die.

No one or nothing live forever, human being start dying the day they were born. human are here just for a short while then they will go back to where they were derived from in the beginning, which is earth. not the sky which christian people call heaven...

Because the Bible tells us that life with the Lord is forever and the Second death in the Lake of fire is eternal....or forever. Death is just a doorway between Eternal Life or Eternal Death.

Life on this earth is, yes, relatively short. But eternal life is exactly that - for eternity. How we spend it depends on the decisions we make in this present life. A Christian's view about that is that we spend it in God's company. I can't answer for other faiths.

Actually those who have a firm belief in God,will live forever. We will die,and awaken in Heaven with Christ, isnt that awesome?

It's in our DNA. We are descendants of immortals ( Adam and Eve) and therefore find it hard to believe that we will die, or even if we die, we find it hard to come to grips that our 'soul' doesn't live on somewhere. From the first civilization to ours, this is true. Humans have a Need to be alive always.

I'm certainly not going to live forever. In fact, I have some health problems that could drop me like a rock at any moment. I'm unafraid of death. It seems quite natural to me.

because the general believe is : No one comes back to tell us we live after we die...so we live for the moment...and try to get all we can. I am not supporting the theory, but stating the facts.

I will live forever, though my body will pass away.
I have been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, my Saviour, and my name is in the Lamb's Book of Life.
I think most believe that because the U.S. is about 86% Christian by religion and faith, and have been taught the same thing.
