Once. And I was lucky. Really lucky. Don't ever do it.
I was in college and some friends and I were going for some fast food to eat before we went to a party. It was early and we weren't drunk or anything, but there were illegal substances in the car.
It was a two seater and I had three passengers...it was difficult driving that way and I accidentally pulled over the solid line in the street. Coming the other way was a cop, and I saw him U-turn after he passed us. Right then I took a hard left on a residential street, and turned my headlights off. I parked on the side of the street obscured by some kind of big truck.
The cop never saw us turn and probably wasn't that interested in looking for us. Had he caught me I would've been cited for reckless driving, evading arrest, and misdemeanor possession. And maybe driving while intoxicated (even though I wasn't).

In 65 years, never - nor have my children - or grandchildren - nor has anyone I have ever known.
The people I know don't get in trouble with the police. Most have been stopped in traffic and have done exactly as told by the officer.
People who have a clear conscience and who haven't broken the law have nothing to fear.

in one night?, about 15 times. In my whole life?, about (I'm guessing) 40 - 50 times.

Never.
Not even at school fairs where someone pays fifty cents to have you "arrested" and then you have to pay another fifty cents to be set free.

Once. But I was sitting in the backseat, so it wasn't technically me who was doing the running.
I myself have never run from the cops.

Never, but if a cop is endangering someone's existence, you have every right to run from them in order to avoid their very brutal tactics. Trust me on this one: the cops are NOT your friends. Be polite with them, but if they try to harm you in any way, you have a legal right to defend yourself.
