My mother suddenly decided to start volunteering for my highschool like school field trips and doing things such as hall monitoring! I have to say I am really fearful of how this will turn out not only am I scared for her I'm scared for my reputation the kids at my school have very little respect for eachother let alone any adult. I am a junior who is 16 years old and I am doomed for the remainder of my junior and senior year PLEASE HELP ME!

This is what's wrong with high school. Once you go to college, you'll realize that the way you are acting is foolish and childish. You shouldn't be ashamed of your mother. If anybody makes fun of her or you just kick their a$$es. Who cares about your high school reputation. You shouldn't care what other people think. Be a leader not a follower that's influenced by those around him/her. Build your life around your life. Don't build it around high school. Life is bigger than that. When you get out of there you'll see reality.

Suggestion: Tell your mom how you really love her. Chances are she is getting ready for empty nest syndrome (when you move out/go to college) so she is wanting to cherish her last few years with you but is smothering you by doing it. Suggest that you and her volunteer somewhere together on the weekend (look online or in the paper for somewhere to volunteer in your area). Try to get her interested in other projects, that would take her away from spending so much time at your high school.

Who care's. Your mom is going to be at your school volunteering calm down! It's not the end of the world it ain't gonna hurt you. Simply tell your mom how you feel. If your worried about kids making fun of you, well don't be. You shouldn't worry aobut what other kids think. As for the kids who probably won't respect your mom and might make fun of her I think she can handle it and if she can't you should stand up for her. I hope this helps you!!!

oh get over it...It's not the end of the world, from the drama of your question I thought their was a guy with a gun to your head. My mom taught at my high school, she knew all, but it really helped me get away with a little more ;)! It has its perks, and you should be glad your mom wants to help out and make your school better, w/o parents like her, most schools that are so great would be terrible, chill out, it will be ok!

Why are you doomed, just because your mOm is around more. You shoudl give her some pointers on who to watch for and who the trouble makers are. You should be proud your mOM want to help out in school ad try to keep it safe for you and all those idiots that go there.

Hey!! I can understand what you're worried about. I know everyone will probably tell you this but u need to talk to ur mom. Explain to her how difficult it could be for you and for her. You sound like you want to protect her as well as yourself so just be honest. But dont just say 'u'll embarrase me in front of the whole school'!! Worse comes to worse and she won't stop - plead ignorant - No, no she's not my mom!!!

Just talk to her!!

OHMIGAWD!

God..Most parents have enough common sense for when they volunteer not to embarrass their kid

At least give your mom a chance
