Is this selective religious indoctrination? Why not have, instead of a Bible class, have a religious studies class that teaches something about all the religions?Though this class is elective it will earn students credits. So, is it discrimination to let Christian student's earn credits in school for learning about their Bible but not let Muslims learn about the Koran and gain credits for their studies? What about Hindu's?How about Buddhist's?How about Wiccan's?Of course the majority of southerner's are Christians but does that negate the religious rights and freedoms of those who are not Christians? How can education be education when the religious lesson taught is based on one faith without regard to other faiths?

First, this isn't about just teaching the Koran. It is about teaching all beliefs.I just used the Koran as an example.I see that if it isn't Christian some Christians just say no to it without consideration.I guess the theocratic Bible thumpers are trying to silence freedom to have any religion and make everything all about their selfish desire to indocrinate everyone into their own beliefs.Second, since I did include other beliefs besides those of the Koran, why isn't the class a "religious studies class" that includes all beliefs and not just one?Can anyone say "selective indoctrination by means of elective credit"?
