I just found out im pregnant and have no insurance. Im wanting to apply for the Kids Connection program through Health and Human Services to help cover my bills. Im wondering if, even though im not married, the dad still needs to be listed on the form. He lives with me and were serious, but I dont know if us not being married would make a difference. Another reason Im wandering is because im only working part - time right now since i was going to school. With his income, we dont qualify for the coverage. Any information would be appreciated!

things may have changed a bit since i had my kids , (16 years ago) how ever when i applied they wanted the fathers name to go after him for child support even though we lived together. we got married and qualified for medical asst. this payed for medical for myself and baby, also we got wic this payed for some food for preagnet me and formula for baby (very expensive) a Friend of mine same situation, except the didnt get married. the state gets child support from him and since they live together ,she hands the check back to him when it comes in. good luck, lots of big dicisions in the coming months....by the way my husband and i are still together and one of the kids want to go into the military the other med school ... its all good
