First always dress your best when you are around him or have to possiblity of running into him. Next try to find a mutal friend that can be used to introduce you. And the direct approch can work to, just walk up to him say hi, and find something in common to talk about.

Because guys are idiots who very, very rarely realise a girl likes them I would advise you to take a proactive approach and do something brave like joining a club or society he belongs to. Then you have the opportunity to hang out but also something to talk about when you see him around.

Why would you want to get with a guy who doesn't notice you in the first place? If they don't notice you, then maybe you're not their type. You shouldn't go around running after guys, let them go after you. No women should go running after any guy, we're better than that! If he notices you, then that's when he's good enough for you.

first of all..that first answer was uncalled for!..now onto your question...you must step out of your shell and just talk..that is the best thing that you can do..also try to see if you and him and some others can all go out as a group that way you guys don't feel pressure...take it from there...your heart will lead you.

its kinda a hard to do when you want the guy to like you for your brain and not your body. But if you don't care, then wear more seductive appealing clothes, that will get attention, then wheel him in with your personally.

I have this same problem. Just try talking to him, being yourself around him. If he doesn't seem interested, then just try and be his friend. Ther will be other guys.
