i've never personally tried it, but one of my male friends did it. You need to buy cabbage and boil it. Dont put anything in the soup, just cabbage and water. Drink that soup like its your favorite thing in the world. It will fill you up completely, but I have to warn you it tastes like ****. I think cabbage doesn't contain any calories or something like that. Give it a whirl.

I never heard of a cabbage soup diet, I think its like this, u r suppose to eat a certain type of cabbage soup for a certain amount of day and reduce eating other types of food.

If i m rite----- Oviously u r goin to lose weight. Thats the Pro.
The cons r----If u lose 25 pounds in 30 days, U r gonna get it back in 15 days
U ll lose a lot of muscle.
During the diet u will feel weak.

Why this mite happen?

This mite happen because u r not burning any fat. The body needs energy to run and it will get it by the easiest route, which is by burning muscle. Ur fat will be there.

The best way to burn ur fat is to exercise, trust me its the best way. Hit the gym or invest on ur health by getting a treadmil...

The cabbage soup diet, isn't a very good diet at all. As soon as you start eating regular food, you gain all the weight you lost.

1 head of cabbage
6 lg. carotts
6 onions
2 green or red peppers
6green onions
3 whole tomatoes
5 stalks celery
2 cloves of garlic
1 1/2 cup brown rice
salt and pepper to taste

I've done it, the rice was too much 1/2 cup would have been plenty, didn't lose a thing, but I like the soup anyway, first its good for you and if you eat a bowl before dinner, you eat less.

I've never tried it and I don't think you want my opinion on it, but this might help:
"Although not suitable for long-term weight loss, the Cabbage Soup Diet is a low-fat, high-fiber diet that will help you get into shape fast before you embark on a more moderate long-term eating plan."

Good luck with your weight loss goals.
