Is there a free software I can use to burn the AVI file from the Hard drive to the DVD or CD. Please tell me about a free software. Also, i have a wireless internet connection, How do i set up the password for the wireless connection. I have time warner cable connection.

no need to use a dvd....
just burn it to a regular cd using VCD mode....nero is pretty handy for that. it'll play on any standard progressive scan dvd player.

So Long as you have XP Pro, just drag and drop the File to the Blank DVD, and it will burn it straight through.
Alternatively, install Media Player 11, and it will Burn to the DVD Burner directly.

call time warner cable they will set that up .. burn a file to dvd or cd use nero that is free for 30 days then if you like buy it

I've had luck with a program called DIKO:

It will convert .avi to DVD or SVCD
To password protect your WiFi you need to access your routers config page. How to do this and how to configure it will depend on what brand and make of router you have. Typically you can get to the config page using the following internal IP:
http://192.168.1.1
But your best bet would be to go to the mfgr website and download a manual for your particular router
