We trace our Faith back to Abraham, so then are we not serving the same God. If so, why the war between brothers? Can we be mature enough to admit our wrongs, test our Faith by the fruit it bares, refrain from bloodshed, eradicate the seeds of hatred (they are not from God). Are we blinded by traditions, cultural biases and ignorance to the point that we don't realize that we are the salt of the earth, the sons and daughters of God a holy people set appart for the works of God!

I see a lot of answers, worrying about where I stand spiritually instead of answering the theological question. I guess it is representative of humanity, and our inability to see beyond what we believe... to search for middle ground, or to honestly wrestle with these kinds of questions. I didn't mention Jesus or Mohammed, I am talking about Allah and God the Father.

Yes, Allah and 'the Father' are the same. The Jews had many names for their God. 'The Father' was one name in order to acknowledge His Divine power of Creation.

YHWH(or Yehowah/Jehovah) literally means 'I Am Who I Am' and was the name that Moses acknowledged Him by.

Allah itself originates from the Aramaic 'Eloh', since both Arabic and Hebrew were descended as sister languages from Aramaic(Israelites speak Hebrew/Ishmaelites speak Arabic).

And the word 'Eloh' means 'something worthy to be worshiped' or, more easily understood, 'God'.

According to the Bible, Jesus said 'Eloi', which means 'My God' in Aramaic, since putting '-i' at the end of a word made it possessive.

So Jesus himself called his God 'Eloh'. Christians, being so devout, find themselves ignorant as to not recognize their own sire's language similarities with that of the Muslims. Which is closer to the way Jesus would've said 'God'? The way Christians say it(God) or the way the Muslims say it(Allah)?

Maybe if people actually opened their eyes and minds to the fact that neither of them exist then we could side-step the whole problem.
From an unbiased point of view yes, they are all the same god, a mix of hebrew and zarathustrian beliefs.
Hebrews only worshipped one god but did not claim he was the only god, Zarathustra said there was only one god.
Christianity evolved from the near collapse of the Hebrew world with the combination of traditional Hebrew and Zarathustrian Armageddeon stories.
The collapse of the Roman Empire gave it many disenfranchised potential believers, and it's great promises of miracles and eternal life caught up followers.
Islam just evolved from Christianity. Islam gave us the idea of heaven, it is actually never mentioned it the "real" bible. In fact "paradise" comes from the Persian word for garden.

But religions morons have always been intolerant to anything different than their own ideas, because... well because they are insecure already, otherwise they wouldn't feel a need to validate everything by an unprovable belief in a hypocritical and very unlikely deity in the first place.

There is only one God. His word does not change. In the 6th century Mohammed managed to lead the Children of Ismahel astray by telling them the original Scripture was misinterpret by Jews and Christians and he is bringing the original word of God. Today's Muslims believe Jew's changed the Torah and Christians changed the Gospel.

The God of the Bible told his people before the Quran of Mohammed was written:

OT: Deu.7:7-8; Isa.54:10

The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the LORD loves you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers… “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

and Allah

Q.3:31-32; 7:55; 61:4

Proclaim: "If you love Allah, you should follow me." Allah will then love you, and forgive your sins. Allah is Forgiver, Most Merciful. You shall obey Allah and the messenger." If they turn away, Allah does not love the disbelievers… You shall worship your Lord publicly and privately; He does not love the transgressors (sinners)… Allah loves those who fight in His cause united in one column, like the bricks in one wall.

The love of Allah for the sinner and the ungodly is totally missing from the Qur'an because it is the most difficult, and even an impossible thing to copy. Allah’s love appears very similar to creatures love rather than God’s (Mat.6:46). It is very selfish and self-centered and limited to those who love and fear him first.

So we can clearly see the Christian God is not the same God as the Muslim God.

No. Allah is not God. Muslims have told me over and over that Allah can never be a father, nor can he be one with God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit in any manner, even though the Holy Trinity is only the One God.

Allah claims to be God, but he falls far short of what God can do. For instance, God is Love, God is Truth, God loves us so much that He gave His Life for us, God came to us as His Son Jesus, God is Life, and on it goes.

Allah is NONE of those things. In fact, Allah cannot even do most of these things, and is even the opposite of some of them. It is safe to say that when Allah claims that he is the Creator, that he has no idea of what he is even talking about, let alone does he have anywhere near enough power to create even one thing!

But, that is what he is good at, as Allah says, he is the greatest deceiver. Hey, that's the Christian's definition for satan, isn't it? You know, the one who wants to be God, but can't pull it off, and who goes around deceiving everyone? Coincidence?

Allah creates nothing but chaos, lies, and terror. I don't want that kind of god.

Jesus said "Allaha" almost what Muslims say "Allah"........"Allah" therefore is the Arabic word used by Arabic-speaking Christians, Muslims, and Jews as the word for God. We can hear its counterpart in the other two semitic languages -- Aramaic (Jesus called God "Allaha") and Hebrew (Ellohim). It makes no more sense to say "Muslims worship a god called Allah" than to say "The French worship a god called Dieu" or "The Spanish worship a god called Dios.",,,,,,

Sheep are so set in their ways that they don't get it. Religion separates us. Thats not what god would want. The interesting thing about religion is that everyone preaches like your going to hell, but they are hipocrates. Tell me one person that hasn't stolen, lied, taken gods name in vain, commited adultry. . . . . See they are selective as to what they believe to be true in the bible. While they may belive it to be wrong to be gay, they disreguard the fact that contracetpives are wrong according to some religions. Plain facts are that NO one can live up to those standards so they pick out the easy stuff. Oh, and my religion is better than yours because it tells me so, so your going to hell just because you believe something totally different. The best thing I heard all day was from a bible beater at work, she said that global warming is happening because there are so many souls burning in hell that its creating too much heat and we all know hell is in the center of the earth. What a wacko!

The best way to deal your question if Muslims and Christians Gods are one and the same is to test the spirit. I believe in the God of the Christians because it speaks of peace and love even to the enemies. The speaker(Jesus) practices what he preaches. Jesus himself placed back the cut-ear of the arresting Roman even if the latter attention was to arrest Him. Before he died of crucifixion he even begged God's forgiveness for his tormentors. I do not know what other religions could come close to the teaching of Jesus except the Bud dish which respects all aspect of life.

the reality of the subject is that each and all and sundry monotheist who worship a much better potential worship an identical potential. the real distinction does not lie interior the call we call him. the real distinction lies interior the reality that Jews settle for basically the Torah(the e book which prophet Moses replaced into sent with) and reject what replaced into sent after it.Christians have self assurance interior the Torah and the Injeel-that's called the Gospels-(the e book of prophet Jesus)and additionally interior the Psalms(the e book of prophet David) and reject what replaced into sent after it. Muslims have self assurance in all of those books and the Quran. right this is the main properly known distinction. Muslims settle for each and all the prophets and have self assurance that they have been all mesengers of god. yet not basically like the Jews who have self assurance that prophet Ezra replaced into the son of god or the Christians who have self assurance that prophet Jesus replaced into the son of god, Muslims do not declare prophet Muhammad to be the son of god. We have self assurance that god is plenty do away with from something different religions associate as companions with him. additionally we settle for the doctrines of Judaism and Christianity on an identical time as they reject the doctrines of Islam. what's unknown to many Christians is that Jehovahs Witnesses additionally stick to an identical user-friendly doctrines of the Christians without changing them to healthful how commercial this international has grow to be. Yes thay are indeed one and the same. The only reason they have different names is that the Abrahamic people split and went to different countries where different languages were spoken. Yahweh is the name in one place and Allah in another, in English we just say god, but Hosannah is another term we hear. Just like in English a man is called John but in France this same man is called Jean. Too simple really for the devout to grasp I guess. Don't ever expect most American Christians to accept it and they will fight to their deaths to deny it. Muslims don't deny it, Jews don't deny it - they still kill each other because of nothing really but they know that god is god is god. (Except of course they are all wrong and god is a fable folks)
