i find it sad that they have a million laws to protect diversity, and yet they still give you problems for saying a prayer in school .

No one can keep prayer out of school. What's against the law is FORCED prayer.. time taken out of the school's day to make students HAVE to pray.
Honestly, if people would simply study the law and stop relying on what other people tell them, this kind of urban legend wouldn't get spread around, and we'd have a more informed voting public.

You can say all the prayers you like in a religious school.
If you want the government to support your school, say your prayers in church, at home, anywhere but in taxpayer-supported institutions.

You have no problems saying a prayer in school. Try it. Say grace to yourself before you eat your lunch. Nobody will stop you.
What we don't have school organized prayers. Do you want that? Muslim prayers organized in your school? Catholic? Which prayers?

Did you Know that there are Over 30 Some Thousand Laws on the Books to Support the "Ten Commandments"?

There is a fear in our schools that allowing prayer will draw a lawsuit. I do find it amusing that we have such tolerance for people except for those with opinions different from our own. Part of the human condition I suppose.
