I'm a cryer myself, but I had this wonderful therapist that once told me that some peoples makeup are that they just don't cry much.
It doesn't have to mean you're holding in your feelings. I think ,as women, we think if people aren't crying, they're not feeling. Not true. As long as you're not holding in you're feelings. If you feel the need to cry, to get a release of some feelings, try being alone and watching some really sad movies, listen to sad music. Set the mood with lights out and candles.

the only time i canot cry is when i am on certain antidepressants....it's like they numb your feelings, and make you unable to express how you feel. The also make you get a "i don't care" attitude towards life. If this is the sace and it is the reason you can't cry, i would change medications.....if the problem isn't from meds, I would say you are bottling up your feelings, and maybe you need to seek some counseling, have you had trauma in your life that has made you this way? only you yourself know this,.

This can be serious. If you are already suffering from depression, not crying may mean that you just don't care anymore. You don't care about living and it could mean you are borderline to suicidal. If this is the case get help now.
If you are not depressed, than you need to explain why you are so worried.
If your best friend was just killed in a car accident and you can't cry then you still need help.

This is quite a severe problem. It means you are bottling everything up and getting no release from your feelings. You definitely need to see a therapist about this, and he or she should try and make you cry in the kindest possible way, but crying is an essential release. You are holding on to your emotions too much and may end up having a nervous breakdown.

I haven't cried in over a year...but I don't think it's a bad thing. I also don't think I bottle up my emotions (usually) because I'm better than that.
