It's called evolution through photosynthesis...
the tree grows high for a reason.. when you have a million trees in a small area competing for sunlight the trees will grow as high as possible in order to obtain the best access to the sunlight. Adapting to the environment is they key pupose in evolution.
God created the universe... universe sorted itself out.

Just tell them they should't question God's plan. If God wants the trees to grow straight up then that's all there is too it.
Or you could point out that if God is intentionally pulling all the matter in the universe together, just like gravity would, then you might as well call what God is doing "gravity"
I mean, no one's ever proven what causes gravity, maybe it is God. Whatever. It's a moot point. Gravity continues despite our best efforts to prove it doesn't exist.

Hi,
wow they sound a bit extreme. You might want to point out that earth is not the only planetary body with gravity and how do they explain the Earth's orbit around the sun and the moon's orbit around the Earth? Plants grow which ever way they need in order to get closer to the sun, it hasn't got much to do with gravity so these people might want to choose a better example there.

who in the world hav u been talking to? science and God exists side by side. In a way i belive God created science so things could be possible. if gravity doesn't exists then why do we fall when we jump off a cliff (even if God doesn't want us too?) Antheists can't be rejecting God if they don't belive in Him. trees point upward as though reaching for something. They are connections to earth(body) and sky(soul) and yet something between kinda a synonym for life itself. God made that on purpose.

There's a parable in the bible about talking trees. (wish I could remember where, I'm sure you can find it in a search) Tell them if they can show you a talking tree then you will believe that gravity does not exist.

well if you look at how a tree grows and look at how a person builds a building or house they are pretty much the same
so either god allows trees and people to build up or they are freaking tarded for suggesting such a thing

by asking them what they are smoking. if god controls eveything at all times then ask them why thier are natural distaers, accidental deaths, genocide, why he allowed us to build WMD's in the first place.
these people also believe the earth is 10,000 yrs old. yet ask any of them about dinosaurs and they don't have an answer for you.
here is another one to ask them and see what they say.
in the bible god said
"let US make man in OUR image" who is he talking to ? who is our?
i believe in god....but this creationist b.s. is nothign but brainwashing.

You cannot use logic to refute and illogical statement. It is kind of like the never ending "prove god doesn't exist" statement. When people make illogical statements, it is best to ignore them.

How do you answer logic like this?
It isn't logic, it is cult nonsense. Sometimes, you just have to shake your head and walk away sadly. Some people are so far brainwashed, it's pointless to try talking intelligently with them.
