shyness is something that you have to overcome yourself... so you may want to start by sending him little notes or email messages or i.m.'s to start off, so you will be more comfortable talking to him in person... either that or get really wasted (j/k)... good luck

If this is a guy who you see a lot but doesn't know you like him, try to find out what his interests are from other sources and ask him about that particular topic...if this is just some random sexy guy you happen to see while you're out and about...just give eye contact and smile but don't be too flirty...just be friendly and cool and if he responds positively to your smile, just say hi!!!

most girls don't actually go up to the boy, but just make yourself available to him, showing that your interested and let him make the move, cuz theres not much girls can say If they initiate the conversation
