There is nothing to stop you BUYING a car, the restriction is on your parking it and driving it. You will have to Insure it if it is on a Public Road and Tax it but until you have either a friend who has held a full UK licence for 12 monthe to accompany you with 'L' plates or pass your UK Driving Test, you are not allowed to drive it.

You have to be of age, you have to prove you can make the repayments, are employed, prepared to signed a direct debit action for the bank or you can buy the car outright. You will only be able to drive the car with a qualified driver in the car beside you.

The same as you would buy a car if you had passed.

You will just have to get somebody else to drive it home for you (somebody who is insured) or leave it at the dealers untill you pass.

It would also have to be kept off the road as you can't get tax for it without insurance if its a new car without tax, and you really don't want to be getting insurance while on a provsional licence!

Nothing to stop you buying a car. You just won't be able to legally drive it unless a) you have a provisional driving licence and you are accompanied by a fully qualified driver with a valid driving licence. and b) You have all the necessary documents i.e. insurance and m.o.t.

You go up to someone who is selling a car, and you give that person the money. It's that simple.

You won't be able to drive it away until you've insured it and got an insured driver to supervise you.

If you don't have a provisional licence, you can't drive it at all.

You will need to get it insured if anyone
drives it on public roads. Its not clear
just what the insurance companies will
make of you, but ...
