Light green is pretty. So is robin's egg or pale teal blue. A pale peachy color tends to make people feel more cheerful (that's why they use it in medical wards now.) Any rich pastel will look great with wood floors (think "ice cream" colors.)
What direction does most of the sunlight come from through your windows? If you get direct sun choose a color that's towards the blue range because the sunlight will be slightly yellow. If you get indirect light (northern exposure) choose a warmer tone to offset the cooler tone of the reflected sky. Remember to choose a color that is one shade darker than the sample cards you see in the store because most light tones will look paler on the walls. Don't be afraid to use stronger color -- it can make the space seem larger (white and really light colors actually make the walls seem to close in while deeper tones make the walls visually recede.)

Pick a color that YOU love!!! Most colors go with wood...yellows, blues, greens.
I have dark Brazilian Cherry floors in my house. I have always had blues/greens in my house. This time I painted the whole house a deep tan color (it looks golden in the sunlight), then I painted 2 walls a dark rust color. It is so warm & inviting!
Try something new that you like! The worst that can happen is that you have to repaint. You could always try a few different colors that they sell in the sample bottles. See which one you like before you commit!
Happy decorating!

It really depends on what type of finish are on the floors and baseboards. Is it a light maple finish, a medium oak finish, a dark cherry finish, etc.?
It also depends on what type/color of furnishings you have. A pretty yellow or gold would probably look nice. The right shade of blue would be pretty too. What about a light khaki color?
