I asked a somewhat similar question here on Y?A recently and was responded to in a negative way. The answers, however, opened my eyes to the "anti-faith" community in that many, not all, but many are defensive....I am not judging this....it's just fact. I am a Christian and have been guilty of being judgmental in the past...maybe still am to a lesser degree, however, I wanted to know why so many who are not with faith choose to be so....
Good luck with your "?"....

What exactly do you mean by "anti-Christian"?
If you mean someone who disagrees with Christianity, I'm certainly one. Still, I consider myself truthful rather than antagonsitc. I'll even stick up for Christianity when I feel it being misrepresented, just as I would for any other religion that I know something about.
Where I become antagonistic is when Christians try to pass themselves off as loving, peaceful, and otherwise better than most of society. They simply aren't.
I spend my energy in search of truth and in improving my own spirituality and condition. Somtimes one has to be a bit antagonistic to support truth. Jesus himself was antagonistic at times, so does that make him something less in your eyes? You need to remember that being a peacemaker isn't always about pacificism.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic nor am I trying to be insulting. I can't help it if some people are very sensitive. A site like this brings out all kinds of emotions from people.

Actually I do feel better when I am actively anti-christian. I believe religion is oppressive. When speaking out against it, I feel like I am marching for the rights of non-Christians everywhere.

After going from Catholicism to Agnosticism at a (relatively) young age of 14, I did feel better because of the lack of pressure on me to act a certain way, but after a while, I realized I needed something more in my life than "Well God could be out there, but who knows?" Thankfully, about a month and a half ago, my friend introduced me to True Islam and I converted within a few days.

I'm an atheist but I am not particularly anti-christian. Not more or less than I am anti-muslim, anti-jew, anti-polytheistic, anti-schamanistic and anti-esoteric. (When I look at it right I think I am not even anti-gonistic ...)
And I find that when I spend my energy using my reasoning and my critical mind, it is well-spent.

Wouldn't your yin yang avatar be considered demonic by some Christians? Why anti-Christian? Why not anti-Pagan? Anti-agnostic? Anti-atheist? Why not anti-gay? Christians are ANTI a lot of things, which is why many people are anti them.

Cosmology is not about feeling good. It's about being as close to true as possible.

Please be specific when you say "antichristian" Everybody saying Lord, Lord is not of Christ! You all ask entirely to general question, painting the picture all Churches are of Jehovah. And they are not! As Isreal of the Old Test fought against many false "religions" so it is today. There is only One Lord, One faith, and One Baptism... That's it!
