Yes, as I understand it, alcohol inactivates antibiotics. So don't drink alcohol while you're on antibiotics.....it can make things much worse, plus cause the bacterial infection you have to be antibiotic resistant.......not a good thing.

Usually if alcohol is a problem it will say so in the information you got with the antibiotic. Some antibiotics are hindered by alcohol, others aren't! I personally find alcohol itself makes throat infections a bit worse when I'm not on antibiotics though...

Don't feel bad.I have a hard time doing w/out a drink 2 take any kind of antibiotic.But,yes...alcohol kills the effects of antibiotics.Hope u get 2 feeling better.*

You shouldnt drink Alcohol while on any medication, atleast let your body fight what it has too with the medication your putting into it,lay off the alcohol.

NEVER ever take alcohol with medicine. any kind of medicine. it can't help you at all. stay strong and try club soda instead of alcohol
