Like the very next part about forgiving them of their trespasses?

How are we supposed to take God's word for anything if he's unreliable?

Which God? In my faith, we are all responsible for our own actions. Daily bread comes from us making it. Is why we don't bow down and worship any more than we expect them to worship us.

If everyone took a little responsibility for themselves, the world would be a better place.

God is not to blame for people in some parts of the world who have nothing to eat.

We are.

By the way "give us our daily bread" and "forgive our trespasses" are never PROMISED by God in the Bible.

They are part of a PRAYER, not a promise -- so you are in fact guilty of accusing God of breaking a promise that He actually never made.

How do you know God hasn't asked people to provide for them and they've refused to listen to His voice?

What have you done lately for the 3rd world countries? Have you been in one? I have, it's not an easy thing. When I was in Nigeria, we kept fruit in our car to give to the beggars, so we knew those kids had at least something to eat that day.

God's always reliable, and does forgive our sins (trespasses) unfortunately His children aren't as alike to Him as we should be.

If God doesn't give people in 3rd world countries their daily bread, who does he give it to?

.for it is written; Man does not live by bread along, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Give us our daily bread, is not talking about bread you eat,
it is talking about spiritual bread, the Word of God. When Jesus said; eat my flesh and drink my blood, his flesh was the Word of God, and his Blood was the blood of the New Testament, which he shed for the remittance of sin.

This is why I get so mad at a lot of you, you say you are christians, (Followers of Jesus Christ), but you follow Moses. you say you are Jew, but you are not, you do lie.

Jesus died for you and you know nothing about his commandments. Jesus gave us more then 75 Commandments in the 4 Gospels, but you deny Jesus and his words. You are like a foolish man who built his house upon sand.

Remember Mary for she anointed Jesus at the hour of his death.

give third world countries bread is not a promise. the people are given it for a reason.it depends on if he thinks you should have it or not

he doesn'tpromise things, they just happen, you just need to be patient.

His daily bread is Him and the Word. Some of those people are dying in the name of Christ. And U.S. have it all and still deny the power of God, and they have nothing and haven't abandoned Him.

good point as to how ridiculous it sounds that people are forgiven only if they stand on their head, count to ten, and whistle a tune ---see what I mean? THE DOGMA of it all just DOESN"T ADD UP!!!!!

we're not supposed to take 'man's' word for it, you're right sho-nuff - it's unreliable. (miss nolte)

If you don't believe in God, then why do you blame him for everything? Humans were put in-charge of this planet. If people are hungry, it's because of us.
