She does not sound like much of a friend to me! Why would she want to deliberately embarrass you? It is not her business whom you choose to talk or not talk to.

You can either:

1. If you really like this person, then try to arrange to speak to him before your class. Just tell him that your friend is having some issues and occasionally shouts things out and ask him to please be sensitive when she does this as she doesn't know what she is saying half the time. Then if she does it, you can just catch his eye and say "see? I told you".

2. Wait for her to shout out your secret then just look him straight in the eye and say "yes, I do like you, but I was hoping to tell you myself".

EIther way, try not to be embarrassed and just laugh at the whole thing.

Good luck!

This happened to me... I was 14 I really liked a guy I had known for years and let it slip to my best mate who said if I didn't make a move she'd do it for me... Well I didn't... and she stuck to her word! She told him over the phone... while I was there with him!! The shame!! ... or was it... he told me he liked me too but he didn't think I'd be interested and guess what? 7years later we're engaged and planing a happy life together! So make a move, text him... It may not end like mine... you may not want it to, but if you do something and it turns out he's willing to give it a try then you may have a few days, weeks, months or maybe years of happiness... thats all up to you so i say GO GIRL!!!!

If she is really your friend , she wouldnt embarrese you. But you should tell the guy you like him. tell him that you wasnt paying attention in class and you need to know if there is any homework and continue on the conversation.. something like that :)

Just speak to him! What's the worst that can happen? Apparently there is some interest because you have his phone number to text him. He may like you but is too shy to make the first move. You never know.

OMG!!! How childish is your friend... I take it that you already speak to the boy since you have his mobile number!
I'm sure your so called friend will make more of a fool or herself than you or the guy!
If you want to let him know but don't tell her about it - so both you and he are aware of it and she's not! Then watch how embarrassed SHE will be!!!

No. You say you like this guy you should go for it. Why not make the move. Do it before your friend gets involve.

from my personal experience i think you should beet your friend to the case and be muture about the hold sitiuation. its best to let someone know how u feel but do a little research on that person so u would know how that person is. even if he do turn you down you would know from experience, just incase it may happen again

sweetheart, f**k em all, only people who are ur friends are those who dont take advantage of, ur being manipulated by ur friend, who happens to be a big mouth or wat ever.
u need to tell her that u need ur own time and space to do things even if its saying hi.
right now, ur in school. and u need to study, regardless of wat people think. When u have studied and have good money, everyone wud love to say HI to U.

Just go talk to him. That's all you have to do...make it funny..

"So, I told my friend I kind of like you and she threatened to tell you if I didn't talk to you....so here I am!"
