What a load of crap answers.
My guess is that she is just growing up a little. Cats when they are younger can be affectionate, and older cats are usually really affectionate. Sometimes in the middle, they aren't as much (like teenagers)
If she isn't fixed that would attribute to it too.
Good luck!

First and foremost, make sure that your cat is SPAYED!!!
Then,
Welcome to the joy of cat ownership.
Cats are finicky, and very independant. They want your attention, when they want it, and no other time will do. They are moody, they will bite your finger, then lick the same spot, as if saying they are sorry..hehe
I do not let my cats outside, they are indoor only, safer for them. Give her time, she will come back to you when she wants to. She may never be that cuddly again, she is growing up.
Next time you get another cat, most cat owners cannot own just one, maybe you should consider rescuing an older cat. They will already be past the crazy kitten syndrome, they will be grateful that you saved them, for a while anyway..lol.
I took in a cat that was a stray. She has numerous scars all over her from a very hard life apparently, and is even missing some toes. She is the cuddliest of all my cats. As soon as i sit down somewhere she is on me, purring and content. She may not be the prettiest cat, but she is the most affectionate. She is old also, at least 6+ years, that makes a huge difference.
Good luck with you kitty, and may you be blessed with many happy years with her!!

As you stated in your post she is spayed, you don't say how long ago she had her surgery. It's possible that if it was recent her hormones are still trying to settle down.
Also, if you have a very warm bedroom or an electric blanket it might be too hot for her.
She is just becoming an adult and might just be starting to settle down. Don't worry about her nails, even if you do nick one too close they don't hold a grudge for long!
Have you tried leaving your bedroom door open a little so she can come & go as she pleases? Perhaps she doesn't like feeling trapped {like if she wants to get out of the room & you are asleep} if you keep the door closed all the time.
Above all else, don't worry, even when their behavior changes they don't stop loving us!

It's nothing to worry about at all. Don't you get days or times where you don't want to be bothered? Cats are like that too. She is fine, it isn't anything you did to her. Take it easy, keep taking care of her and when she is ready for attention, she will let you know. My cat is 12 years old, she gets her moments where she doesn't want to be bothered. Then, there are times where she can't get enough love and attention. Your kitty is perfectly normal, no need for alarm. Hope this helps!

If your kitty has access to the outdoors, this behavior of gradually becoming independent is not surprising. She has discovered a lot of interesting things outside and thanks to you, has the cat confidence to go out and explore. Moreover, as cats mature, their individual personalities become more and more established. Your cat is probably naturally more independent that what you at first thought when she wasa kitten. Don't worry.. I am sure she loves and appreciates you.

That's just cats. As they get older they snuggle less but they still love their owners. My 2 year old cat does that and she still needs to be scratched and spoiled. Cats are very independant.

No cats go through stages. Mine are very cuddly for a long period, then they are independent, but always come back to being cuddly. Another thing to consider is if she is still a kitten, and hasn't been fixed, she could be going through hormonal type stuff.

Have you taken time to play with her lately? Or, maybe she's just growing up and not needing a stand-in mommy anymore. Is she over a year old now? If so, she's just growing up and full-grown cats are very independent.

You're kitten is turning into a cat. My cat did the same thing when he got to be about a year old. Now he's 3 and we cuddle sometimes, he'll sleep with me sometimes...he listens....sometimes....

As animals mature, so does their behavior. Perhaps she has found somewhere else she prefers to sleep. She is not feeling as dependent on you and that's a good thing. She's growing up and isn't a kitten anymore. This does happen...don't take it personally. Just keep on lovin' her and her independant streak.
