Can you hear a smile on the phone, or emotion in someone's voice?
Talked to this cute guy and I could hear him smile, it was a trickle effect and I smiled too.
It's just the simple things that make my day.

To answer yes you can fake emotion on phone coz they cant see (i do it to my parents all the time), but its great you could hear the smile of your friend, thats beautiful.

Most people you can tell there real mood and feeling over the phone but not all people, I hope the cute guy is happy when he talks to you it make life great when you have 2 people that make each other happy it makes life grand

If you can fake being happy in person, you can
certainly fake it over the phone.

Of course you can sense emotion in someone's voice. That's controllable as well. But if you listen, you can tell if the person's sincere.

I think you can usually tell when someone is smiling. It's hard to hide that and it's hard to fake it too.
