It is your perfect right to respect penguins more than churches , but pray tell? What does one have to do with the other? I guess a preacher might look a little like a penguin in a black suit and a white shirt, carrying a few extra pounds, and penguins do like to congregate and make a joyful noise. After all, they are one of God's creations and quite comical, at that!

I think penguins are much more lovely than many of the folks who attend church. At least with penguins you know for certain that what you see is what you get! Have a wonderful day! Annie

That would depend on the penguins in question and also the church in question. For example if you said you respect the flightless fowl more the Baptist I would have to disagree but alas if you stated that you respect them more then TBN I would have no choice but to agree with you even as a Christian.

The Catholic church I respect much more then a penguin.

Not all churches are perfect, as they are run by humans, which of course are not perfect. Jesus is the only perfect human.
Now penguins are pretty cool, but church is better.

I do too, and I am christian. Churches only lead people away from the Truth due to religous leaders who warp the Bible for their own gain, or live lives that make the followers disgusted with the whole notion of religion. For example the majority of atheists were once Catholics.

Perhaps what is wrong is your definition of "church." Is it a building to you, or a group of people?
I would think both people and creatures should get your respect.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with a group of people and their views, don't you think everyone is entitled to some degree of respect and dignity?

No, because penguins are genuine and live life as they are intended to .. they do what they do.. they don't question it, analyze it, make fun of each other, gossip behind one another's backs, try to be better than one another.. et al..
You'll find all of that crap in churches.
