Everyone loses between 40 & 120 strands a day, depending on how much hair you have, your age & your hair's growth cycle. People with fine hair tend to have more of it & therefore will lose more of it than their thicker-haired sisters & brothers. Your hair also thins as you get older.
Here are common causes of hair loss:

1. Seasonality. You'll lose the most hair in the fall -- typically November and December when hair reaches maturity in its growth cycle.

2. Diet. Hair loss can occur through poor dieting, tight ponytails, even with age. According to dermatologist George Cotsarelis, M.D., director of the University of Pennsylvania Hair and Scalp Clinic, iron deficiency may be the cause.

3. damaged hair

4. Illness Sometimes it happens as a result of illness. Even stress, excessive weight loss, iron deficiency & thyroid problems can cause hair loss.

If you're really worried, ask your doctor, however, experts say you really only need to worry if your part is getting wider or you can see your scalp through your hair. But don't worry, not all hair loss is permanent. There is a specialty doctor called a 'trichologist,' an expert in hair problems. You can make an appointment and ask the doc for a diagnosis.

How to keep your hair healthy

Good hygiene is important for healthy hair. This includes brushing the hair properly and washing it with a mild shampoo. Good nutrition (a well - balanced diet of fresh foods and lots of water) not only helps one to have beautiful - looking hair but also improves it's texture.
Wash your hair daily or every other day. The extra circulation provided by the shampoo /message stimulates the oil glands to work more efficiently and brings natural oils into the hair. This applies to all types of hair.
Use shampoo that is pH balanced and that is designed specially for you hair type (dry, oily, etc.). Ask your hair specialist to assist you in selecting the right shampoo for your hair type. Always rinse with cool (not hot) clean water for extra shine. Allow your hair to air dry naturally whenever possible. Never brush soaking - wet hair, as the hair is quite elastic at this time and can be pulled and stretched to the breaking point. A wide - toothed comb is best for wet hair.
Give your hair a good brushing before bed. This should be done by bending forward from the waist, head down, brushing from the back to front. Brush at least fifty to one hundred strokes. This will help remove dirt, pollutants and damaging particles from the hair in addition to stimulate circulation which will increase natural oils for added sheen and oxygen to the hair and scalp.
Once a week massage jojoba oil with one to two drops of rosemary oil for dry or oily hair and tea tree for hair that show signs of dandruff into the scalp. Leave on over night, wash out the next day

Falling Out and Thinning Hair

Avoid using stiff nylon brushes, rollers, pony-tails, and other hairstyles that put great pressure on the hair.
Avoid rough scalp massages and towel dying, perming and hot blow drying (these weaken the hair shaft even more). Let hair dry as naturally as possible or if you must blow dry, use low to medium heat only. Hold the blower at least 6 inches from your scalp.
Use a de-tangle and a wide-tooth comb to untangle the hair. Minimize use of a brush on wet hair. Do not wear hats or wigs on a regular continues basis. Hats and wigs can cut off circulation and oxygen, causing possible further hair loss.
Lightly massage your scalp with the tips of your fingers, always using a circular movement for five minutes when shampooing. This is good for blood nourishment to the scalp.

After shampooing, rub a few drops of a blend of essential oils such as tea tree, jojoba oil, and rosemary into your hair and scalp and message in; do not rinse out unless your hair is oily.

Is your hair noticably thinner? If not then its prolly normal. I lose quite a bit when i wash my hair and i lose a lot when i brush my hair and theres always my hair on my shirt but my hair is not thinning so its normal.

If your hair is thinning you should talk to your doctor especially if you notice any other things that aren't normal for you. It may also be the stress of the Big Day.

One thing i know that helps strengthen hair is a protien treatment. These can be bought at places like Sally's or a hair salon.

Congrats on the wedding and i hope you find something to help.

You are obviously stressed - I don't know how you came up with the #'s of hair that is falling out, but that could be your problem, stop stressing and do nothing but wash and condition your hair. Avoid hairspray and other things that will break it. If you have actual patches missing, then that's when you should worry. Check the sites below

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMLx1 While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Start going to a Dominican salon to get your hair done. Have them to deep condition it once a month. Have them roller set it, and wrap it. DO NOT use blow dryer or hot curlers, or anything else that will break or damage your hair. You should go to the salon once a week. Wear your hair wrapped for a while, trust me you will see results. Your hair will start to be beautiful and healthily again. Lastly, if you are putting chemicals in your hair stop immediately!!!

Are you on a low or no fat diet? If so, that may be the problem. Your hair needs some fat. If not, it may just be from the stress of getting married. You may want to see a doctor because alopecia is a real medical problem that can be addressed if treated early enough. Best wishes.

You are under alot of stress and our hair typically comes out in clumps when we are stressed out. You have 4 months to take action so I would make an appointment with your stylist and see what she would suggest. Make sure you are also eatting right. Somethimes we forget to do that when we have alot going on.

you are supposed to lose 75-100 hair per day, in some seasons we shead more, stress (like planning a wedding and worying about losing your hair will make it worse) get a facial, do some yoga breath and relax, If you start to notice bald patches then see a doctor, but please calm down!!
