Roman Road to Salvation
The Gospel of Grace
(revealed by our Lord Jesus Christ to our Apostle Paul)

Many people think they will go to heaven because they have lived a good life. Perhaps, they treat all of their neighbors fairly. Maybe they volunteer for charity work and have never broken the law. Maybe they were even baptized or go to church regularly. But the Bible, God's Word, says that no one can live up to God's standard of righteousness.

Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one ...."

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God ...."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Salvation cannot be earned. Everyone is a sinner and deserves death, but God gives eternal life. So how can we receive God's gift of eternal life?

Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth ...."

To be saved, we must believe the gospel. The word "gospel" means "good news". But before we can believe the good news, we have to know what it is.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel ... that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures ...."

This is the gospel which we must believe in order to be saved. Now, how does believing this gospel save us?

Romans 5:8-9 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."

Romans 3:22-26 "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (appeasing sacrifice) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."

We can be saved from the wrath of God, because Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead. He paid the price for us, and we are justified in God's eyes through our faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast."

There will be no boasting in heaven. We cannot be saved by our own righteousness, but only by God's grace, through faith.

Ephesians 1:13-14 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory."

Once we believe the gospel, we are sealed with God's Holy Spirit. This is God's deposit, that guarantees he will redeem us, whom our Lord Jesus Christ "purchased with his own blood" (Acts 20:28).

Studying the Bible is an essential part of the growth of every believer. New believers should begin by reading the letters of our Apostle Paul (Romans 11:13), starting with Romans and then continuing through all of Paul's letters. Also, reading The Basics of Understanding the Bible would be helpful.

I believe in God because He saved my physical life when I was 7 years old. I ate salt on lemons, imitating my dad, that poisoned my kidneys. I was in a coma for 13 days. My family took me to Baptist Hospital when I first got sick and the doctors worked on me for 12 days then they told my parents to find someone who believed in Jesus Christ and have them Pray over me because I was going to die. My parents found someone that knew Christ and Prayed and asked Him to save and heal me. Christ did in a moment what the doctor's could not do in 12 days of intensive care. Praise the Lord. He is a loving God how could I not believe in Him?
I respectfully ask that you open you heart to Christ and Pray that He will forgive and save you.

First off do you know why you need to? If you can't answer that question then it really doesn't matter?

Ask yourself, Why do you need Jesus? Then read on.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

On judgment day without Christ you will stand alone and have to face wrath.

End the end do you want to be saved from the wrath to come?

Just make sure that this is commitment that you will stick to. Don't start up then back out. And, yes, there is more to Christianity. When you become baptised in Jesus name, you confess that he is lord and he is right and you are wrong. You give your life to him basically, just as he gave up his mortal life on the cross for you. When you are forgiven of your sins, God is with you. He will never leave you. The only way to loose your salvation is to walk away from it. By abandoning the faith. The bible says that no one that has been saved and walks away, returning to a life of immorality can truly come back. No one can be ultimately redeemed twice.
Stay with God and Jesus.
Pray for faith and strength every day.
Love others as you would yourself.
Find a Church (not necessarily a building with a steeple, for Church means the body of Christ, more believers to keep you strong).
God will keep you strong if you ask for it. God loves you and will always love you. God bless

Say a prayer - admit to God that you are a sinner and ask for forgiveness for all your past sins, than ask for Jesus to come into your heart and life and be your savior. Once you have done this, you should get a Bible - King James Version, and read the chapter of John in the new testament. Then you should look up churches in your yellow pages and choose one from the following denominations...Non-Denominational, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Presbyterian, or Protestant. Once you find a church, you should go visit and talk to the pastor, and let him know what you have ask Jesus to come into your heart. That pastor, should be able to help further you on your journey to know God. Many Blessings to you - Congratulations on your decision.

Go to a church, admit your sinfulness and need for a savior, believe Christ came to pay the penalty for your sin, and accept him as your Lord and Savior. Then it is a matter of living your life as a Christian, which is a whole lot more difficult.

Trade in your old life for a new one in Jesus Christ.

Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
Act 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed [their] stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
Act 16:34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

Your first step is to find out what church you want to belong to, Catholic, Evangelical, Eastern Orthodox etc. After that you should approach the priest/pastor for guidance.

Say the sinners prayer and mean it. " Dear god I know I'm a sinner and I'm sorry for all my sins and want to turn away from them. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again and I accept Him as my personal savior. I will try to live by the bible and go to church and pray and give as I can to the ministry. Thank you for saving me, Amen.

Jesus said, I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE,
no one comes to the Father but through me.

You can be saved today, by trusting in Jesus Christ.
You can be forgiven, by feeling shame and guilt for your sin and asking God to forgive you.
This is tremendous news for you.
Ask Jesus Christ to be Lord in your life
instead of you being in the driving seat of your life,
give Jesus Christ that seat instead.

Close your eyes and ears and believe, believe, no matter what. Look at everything that contradicts your religion as demonic, tempting you to follow Satan to hell. Live in your own world and surround yourself with people who tell you what to think. That should do it.
