Unfortunately, i used to have one (also a cockatiel) also, that was "just plain mean". We tried everything to get him to 'calm down', but no luck. He 'was' an abused bird before we got him, and that, never 'left' him..... his 'trust', was shot. Sometimes there are birds, that just cant be 'helped'......... it's sad, but it happens. All i can say, is to keep trying.... be very patient with it, and keep the glove ON... hopefully one day, he'll get used to the glove, and you, and you can remove the glove. But untill (and "if" ) then... protect yourself. Try just placing your hand, with the glove 'on', inside his cage.... dont go towards him with your hand, just "be there"............ let him throw his "fit", and see if he calms down on his own... if he does... take your hand 'out' of the cage, and wait. Try the same thing, a few hour later.... not going 'towards' him, but just set your hand 'in'. If he seems to get 'better' about your hand just 'being' inside the cage, 'then', slowly, try to INCH it towards him, just a little at a time ! Dont grab at the bird, and dont expect him to get on your hand right away.........all of this, WILL take time. He needs to trust more, eventhough you have been working with him, he still sees your hands, as "bad" for whatever reason. He's gotta trust, that YOUR hands, aren't going to hurt him. If he does get to trust your hand being in his cage, like i said, move it slowly towards him. How often does he get 'out' of his cage ??? If he doesn't get 'out' often... that could be a big part of it, also. His cage, is HIS territory. If you can eventually get him to be in your (gloved) hand... take him out for a bit, and walk around the house while holding onto him. That'll let him see, that there IS life beyond his cage ! lol. (that is IF he doesn't get out of his cage ) Good luck !

each and every so often a cockatiel would be what I call "persnickity", somewhat the ladies human beings. They savour human agency, yet prefer to proceed to be somewhat distant. some cockatiels are purely intimidated by using palms. in case your cockatiel basically extremely hisses or protests on the sight of your hand, he could be petrified of it. From what you wrote, it form of feels your cockatiel isn't somewhat petrified of staggering out with (or on) you, yet does not like palms. i think of hand-feeding him tidbits of a healthful take care of he enjoys might help him come around. Watch how your daughter interacts with him and notice in case you observe any nuances between your interactions with the chicken and hers. Make notice of what movements yield which reaction. there replaced right into a large article in between the previous NCS Journals. It touched on growing to be intimacy consisting of your chicken. It replaced right into a large study and had many advice and recommendations. coming up a dating consisting of your cockatiel takes staying power, be responsive to-how and consistency. It sounds to me such as you're on the terrific suited direction.
