My boyfriend volunteered us to baby sit our boss' daughter so he and his wife can go to a concert. When they were working the other day they were begging him to go saying "oh you can leave her to babysit that's more her job anyway, she can stay". We're all on a pretty friendly basis. So I was upset to find out they were saying this. He's going. I am very upset. Do you think he should have stuck up for me? Is it wrong that he is going? My boss is a douchebag anyway.

Um yeah it's wrong! W T F? He volunteered both of you to babysit and then left you with the responsibility to watch the kids? You have every right to be pissed. Your boyfriend for not following through with his responsibilities and your boss and wife for leaving you to watch their kids so that they can go enjoy a concert. If I were you I'd cancel and let them find another babysitter.

Tell him you can't believe he is even going.Mostly because HE is the one that volunteered to babysit not YOU.Make some plans and tell them well I can't babysit because I have a life to.It is completely unfair to do something like that.None of them are true friends including your boyfriend. He seems to be inconsiderate.Tell him you made plans with your new boyfriend.Good luck to you,and put your foot down.

Your boss is very irrespectful and your boyfriend definitely should have stuck up for you. You need to have a talk with your boyfriend and let him know how you feel. This is very alarming. If he starts direspecting you in public now, he might end up walking all over you.

Boyfriend had no right to volunteer you in the first place.
Strike one.
And then he dumps the job on you so he can go to a concert?
Strike two.

Time to let boyfriend know the score.

No you're not overreacting. He was the one who volunteered you guys. His actions seem pretty selfish to me. You deserve fair treatment from your boss, and some thought from your bf. Plus..they are kinda sexist by saying that it's more of your job.

Don't put up with this. You don't deserve it.

yes if he said you both would sit then you should have both done it not stuck you with it. It sounds like he was affraid to say no to his boss which is probably why he said yes to baby sitting in the first place.

DUH! HE volunteered you both for it, not you, and now he's the one that is going, and leaving you to do the dirty work, which you were not even the one that volunteered for it. I would be pissed, he is wrong if he goes, and the boss is wrong for putting you in that situation.

If HE volunteerd then he needs to babysit, explain this to him and don't watch their kids.... if you do then they will continue to walk all over you. He should be ashamed of himself.
