At one time Vietnam was colonized by France. "Le" is used in French names like "Le Monde" or "Mouel Le Gualle." So one could likely conclude that the Vietnamese family name Le is of French decent. BUT it could also just be Vietnamese originated in itself and just a coincident.
**Reason being I am Vietnamese and my last name is "Le" and it is pronounced Leh and not Lee and in France it is pronounced Leh too.

This is funny. No, Le is not pronounced leh in French; it's pronounced "luh". Your last name Lê is pronounced "leh" like you said. If you're Vietnamese, ask your parents about Lê Đại Hành, Lê Lợi, Lê Lai, etc.. These persons existed hundred years before the French set foot in VN. So, where did their last name Lê come from? Obviously, pas des français.

I think it's more likely of Chinese descent.
