I live in Washington State and would like to know if anyone knows how to find if a police auction or sale of a used "Crown Vic" Interceptor is for sale.

There is a pretty cool guy on Ebay who also happens to be a cop and he gets really nice examples of Police Interceptors.
For example, he doesn't sell patrol cars, just light duty ones like the Chief of Police would drive to work every day ... you know, low miles and clean. Go to Ebay motors and do a search - I know buying cars on Ebay is risky but this guy's got a really good reputation to protect.
All the best.

do no longer hardship, there are hundreds of hundreds of those autos around, it is going to likely be elementary to discover one at any time interior the foreseeable destiny. in case you could no longer get a P71 then you definately can elect a civy variety with the coping with/overall performance equipment. The HPP has many of the Interceptor bits, like twin exhaust, HD torque converter, 3.27 gears, transmission cooler, HD suspension ,and so forth. opposite to standard concept there isn't any particular "chip" or something. The P71's have the comparable volume of power because of the fact the Civy HPP variety. The P71 does have the governor raised to approximately one hundred thirty MPH Vs. 107 for the civy variety, because of the fact the P71 has a composite driveshaft and the civy variety has a usual metallic driveshaft that has a tendency to vibrate alot at triple digit speeds.

They usually auction them off when they retire them, so check your county and city to see when they have the public auction for cop cars, etc. Many time taxi companies buy those old Vics, so there will be some competition.......

I don't know if you are willing to travel or not. You may want to try the site: www.govdeals.com. There are always retired police cars for auction, but they are generally on the eastern side of the US.
