It's really not that simple. There are too many grapes to choose from, both red and white, and each grape tasting distinctly different. Shoot, even the same grape by a different vineyard & after fermenting is going to taste different, also vintage has a lot to do with it. There are some fabulous reds and there are some fabulous whites, and depending on what you are eating when you drink, it makes all the difference! Sorry, but you can't answer that question if you know anything about wine & happen to love it. Also, each person's pallet is very different. I happen to love a lot of both. ;)
