For dresses, I suggest you look at as many designs as you can. You can get a magazine called the knot which features hundreds of dresses each month. Then go to theknot.com and register there. Look on ebay(just to get ideas of styles you like) and any other site you come across. I looked at thousands of dresses. You will find those you are drawn to, then choose a style that will compliment your body shape. Keep an open mind when trying them on though because some that look good in pics won't look that great on you, and vice-versa.
Choose a main color that you like and then find one that compliments it. Once you do that, you can look at flowers in those colors. It's overwhelming but have fun with it.

June-August- Yellow and orange
sep-nov- all kinds of different colors

For your colors you should look at how the florists arrange their flowers, they usually have good taste and you can get your flowers form that place also.
