It's decriminalized in Amsterdam, not legal. (look up the difference) And yes, I feel there should be no laws against what people choose to put into their own bodies.

I think it should stay illegal. I don't care if the person kills themselves with drugs, but drugs affect the community , not just the individual. Increase accidents, abuse by the drug users. I had a friend break into my car and rumage through my stuff to find a stinking can. He said he was looking for one to smoke pot. People seem to stop thinking about the other after using.

It is legalized to medical patients in some states, these states are growing. Federally, though the federal government grows marijuana for patients, they still feel people in general no matter if sick or not should have no business having it. Though they feel other very strong pills are ok....
Alcohol kills way more people then cannabis does. Taking drugs away from people is like pulling teeth. nicotine and alcohol are just two acceptable drugs....
Anyhoo weed (cannabis, marijuana and all the other names for it) should be legal for everyone.

Technically it is not legal in amsterdam. it's just tolerated. And other drugs they do not tolerate at all. I think it should be less of a punishment over here. Or yeah legalize it but to certain amounts

I think you are whistling Dixie here. But it makes sense. Booze is legal most everywhere and does not have any further negative effects. Ditto tobacco. I understand the biggest drug problem in the U.S. is now prescription drugs. But they are easily obtained legally, what is the sense of such a system?

It should be legal, and I think it will be to a degree in the next ten or fifteen years. It was on the ballot in ... Colorado I think... that it lost by 56%, that's not much at all. That was I think for medical purposes, though.

I also believe that marijuana should be legalized and taxed thus benefiting both users and the government at the same time. Check out NORML.org for legalization/decriminalization efforts.

i totally agree. i can't understand why alcohol is legal but not pot. alcohol is way worse. it kills people everyday. all pot ever did was maybe give someone lung cancer and that's their choice.
