Lip swelling can be an indication of allergic reaction, trauma, certain medications can cause it, or there are a few diseases like Crohn's that have this as a symptom. If you know for a fact that you haven't had any new products come in contact with your lips (i.e., toothpaste, chapstick, lotion, etc.), then I would consult a dermatologist.

I had the same problem. It actually turned out to be the lip balm I was using. I would go see a dermatologist. Mine gave an excellent prescription to calm it down. Also, wrapping an ice cube in a cloth and placing it against you lips will help. Never put ice directly on your skin.
I hope you feel better. I know how you feel.

That's a sign of dehydration and also that your liver may be having problems. Not sure how old you are but ever noticed how if you drink too much you wake up the next day witrh swollen lips? It's because your body is trying to remove the alcohol and it bloats your system.
Green tea and liver cleanse tea could help.
