Our wedding (main) color is going to be claret. Any ideas on an accent color, please? June wedding. Thank you!

Go to a paint store and look at their color chip book. Find your main color. All of the colors on that page are complementory.

Because yours is a spring/summer wedding, you can get away with bright accent colors.

Pink or peach would go very well with Claret, or any wine color. I think that would really brighten up your wedding a lot. You could have the bridesmaids in the claret dresses, and have them carry alternating bouquets of peach and pink.

Very pretty.

If you want to go more traditional, I would go with a cream or ivory or green.

Good luck and congratulations!

Since the wedding is in the summer, you need something to lighten up your colors. You don't have to limit yourself. I love the idea of a pale blue or yellow. You could even do a light camel color, or find a pretty flower with the color you are using and see what other colors show up in that flower. Nature knows best. Good luck.

I think apple green would contrast very well, give it a little brightening for june. That would be best durring the day though...

For a night wedding, maybe champagne? Claret and Champagne :) both wines and both colors... it would be very classy (im doing champagne and ivory with red accents)

I think with Claret, apple green accents is very pretty. Also ivory and a muted gold would also look very pretty. Good luck!

Pink, gold, bronze, lime green, moss green, periwinkle blue, just to name a few - all look great with claret! What a beautiful color you've picked for your wedding. Congrats!

That's my main wedding color too and we're also getting married in June. I'm just doing deep red and white. Since reds don't really clash that badly when put together, I'm not going to worry about the shades as long as they are close. I couldn't think of another color either and since my dress will already be white, it made sense. My bridesmaids will carry white bouquets of calla lilies and my bouquet will be red roses with a few white callas. The centerpieces will be red gerbera daisies and I'm making pearl necklaces for my bridesmaids to wear as their gift. Good luck and happy planning!

I think you could use cream, lime green, or black. If these are too intense, gold would be a good choice also.
