I'm a "cradle" Catholic, born, raised, and still practicing, but I find myself drawn to Tarot cards from time to time. Every time I've had a reading done, the cards were dead-on. How and why does this happen?

the accuracy of the reading has nothing to do with the cards, but with the person using them. the tarot is only a tool to aid in sight and so is only as good as the person using them

Tarot readings are vague and can come true by chance.

Try getting a specific reading and see what happens. For example, instead of asking the cards, "will I be happy?" Ask for the name of the guy who will make you happy. If the cards can't do that, how can they exhibit perception of future events? Names are easy. Don't you know the names of your family and friends almost without thinking?

What kind of things did they tell you? How accurate were their predictions, and what kind of things did they predict? Most of the time, it's stuff like 'I see water in your future' or 'you'll get a new job'. Vague stuff that could easily apply to 90% of the population, and stuff that's easily fit to many situations (the beach, a stream, a boat, Riverside dr, spilling your drink on your keyboard, etc). There's nothing 'wrong' or 'sinful' about tarot readings, they just don't actually work, so don't waste your time.

Simon is correct. When I read Tarot, the cards that turn up are a mere guideline for me. I use them as cues to signal my perception and direct the discussion.

Leave them alone, they are as ouija boards, stuff from the dark side. Stay with what you know and thank God every day for His blessings and Peace.

Oh yeah, why do they seem accurate? people become very skilled at reading the person and getting indications of what to tell them, but it is conjecture.

because they are so general. Many things of that nature are very general, like when something says 'you will meet someone new' - ofcourse you will, if you say HI to someone you never meet before there ya go. I had mine read awhile ago, its common sence. I'm in college to be a teacher, it said I will have to travel (teacher positions are very hard to get in western pa). Its mostly in your mind, the rest is in creative wording

The demons have knowledge that people use in various ways. If it is not of God's Holy Spirit it is of the Devil.

This is due to demonic activity. They will lure you into opening the door to the demonic world. They will give you correct answers until they got you. Once they have the right to attach themselves to you, they will be able to influence your life so that they can destroy you. That is why God HATES the occult. It leads you away from eternal life and separates you from having a personal relationship with God as your Father
