Shia Muslims do that to commemorate Ashoura, which marks the anniversary of the death of Ali. So long as they're not whipping other people, I think it's ok. Not like I'm a huge fan of self-flagellation, but if it's contained and controlled it's all right.

I would buy one, but it would be more interesting if they had a cage fight between say a christian and a large member of the cat family, perhaps a lion would work.
