It really depends on if the woman has a strong palate or not! I can't believe that guy said "If She's cultured"! That was pretty insulting! It all depends on her taste. You don't have to like the taste of horrible wine if you are indeed a wine taster & drinker & have been for years. Your taste is your taste. I mean... I'll eat escargo, but I hate raw oysters... does that really change one's culture? I don't think so. I have a tendancy to teach Non-wine drinkers that there are wines that they will like, no matter what they think. I have always proven my point! Some are expensive, and some are inexpensive, but seriously, the only reason to EVER buy a wine that is really expensive is if it tastes good to you. Don't buy it just because it's expensive, or somebody says it's a good wine, or label. Every winery makes many different kinds of wine, and each has it's own individual taste, just as each type of wine in comparison to the same type bottled by another winery will taste different. It all depends on an individual's taste. So, I would reccomend, if you are trying to make sure you have the proper wine for each lady you bring to your home, get a collection going! Go to some wine tastings, figure out what you like & then introduce the wine you choose as "YOUR" favorite, or one that you like. I'm sure you'll find that when it tastes good, it's not just you who will feel that way!

i prefer red to white if I had a choice. Zinfandel (the real red kind) & Sangiovese especially. For white a good Sauv Blanc from New Zealand or a Pinot Grigo from either napa or italy.
I personally cannot stand sweet wines. With the exception of maybe a nice gewurztramier or riesling. White Zin reminds me of a wine color or soda pop. It goes with no food that I know of.
For me, wine is all about how it pairs with food. And my wine taste runs the gamut depending on what I am eating. And I really cannot give you one particular wine that is my preference. You are safer giving me a red than a white though.

Well that depends on her taste. I prefer good Red wine, but I also know women that prefer white wine. Now if I feel like white wine I'll have a Chablis.

Be safe get a Viognier. Consider the white wine for red wine drinkers. It is rich and flavourful, no sharpness or tannins.
Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier.

restaurant studies have white zin as the the number one selling wine and women contribute to 80% of that, so that is the technical answer. however, i would suggest any light white, pinot grigio sauvignon blanc. women tend to enjoy drinks that are easier to go down. ask her if she likes fruity mixed drinks or whiskey straight? if she liked whiskey straight, then go with any red that suits the meal.
