Consider 2-3 times a month as a treat when eating out. Eat whatever you like, you need to reward yourself from time to time.

A salad with dressing on the side. Dip the tines of your fork in it before each bite. You'll still get the flavor without all the calories. You can even get one with broiled or baked chicken in it if you want a full meal. Also, some of the restaurants now have AWESOME low-fat menus such as Applebee's Weight Watcher's menu. I'll tell you, I tried the chicken confetti meal off their Weight Watcher's menu when I was dieting and it's something I'd have no problem eating even when I'm NOT dieting. It was wonderful ! Most vegetarian meals on the menu can be low fat/low cal as well if they're not loaded up with cheese and sauce.

Dieting doesn't have to mean that you do without the foods you love. You can choose anything, but you can have them make alterations. Say, you have fish cooked in butter. See if they can make it in orange juice instead. Instead of a chicken salad with fried chicken strips, have them grill the chicken, and use just oil and vinegar instead of a heavy dressing. Or, simply get whatever meal you really want, even if it's high caloric, and have the waitress bring you a to-go box with your meal. Box up half of it before you even start eating, so you don't stuff yourself and eat more than you're really hungry for.

My best bet is ordering a grilled chicken or fish entree with two vegetables and/or a salad with low-fat or fat-free salad dressing and for drink, it is best to order water with a lemon wedge in it.

I'd say chinese, it's very healthy food and has lots of fruit and vegatables. Just don't go to a burger stand.
