Well , If the perm fell out and your hair is in good shape then it will be fine to re-perm (stylists do it all the time ) it sounds like either you had some one with not enough experiance or the perm soultion was not left on long enough. Either way if you enjoyed having a perm then have it redone I would reperm it if you sat in my chair

Did you get a haircut either before or after your perm? My mother and daughter are both beauticians and they usually cut my hair AFTER the perm.

If you did not have a hair cut, the long hair may be dragging down the perm and make you think it did not take,

As for coloring your hair, my daughter tells me if I am going to color before a perm to wait 2 to 3 weeks after coloring to get a perm and about a month between perming and coloring.

You should wait 6 weeks for either a full perm or just a simple touch up you should never use a permanent color during the time you have relaxed hair but you could use a temporary one

don't think your supposed to color your hair while perming it might fall out. i think its 2 weeks then you can do a touch up toward the roots. but you really should read the instructions and see if it says any think at coloring you hair and when is a good time to perm it again.

I dont recommend perming or coloring until the permed hair grows completely out and has been cut off. You may chemically burn your hair if you double process it and it will look horrible and have severe breakage

i wouldn't recommend too many perms too often, they aren't the most hair friendly solutions. as for colouring, after 4 weeks you are fine to colour it now, but leave the solution on for about half the time that the instructions say... in fact they might even state how long you should leave a colour on for if you have permed hair, i know L'Oreal's colour instructions do that.

You could but try an anti breakage treatment. I dye my hair black all the time and perm it. Nothing ever happens to me!

Go ask a beautician/professional, I get my touch ups (perm re-applied) every 4 months...

You muct have used the wrong perm...

Hope everything goes well!

I would recommend you book an appointment to see a stylist. Or ring your hairdresser for over-the-phone consultation.
